The same plate number for Docter and Venom does not authorize every optic sold as “Docter footprint.” FN names those rows; it does not publish a universal family guarantee.
Installation Boundary: 17.5 in-lb, No Threadlocker
FN directs owners to place the two O-rings in the slide recess, install the correct MRD plate, add any required insert, then tighten the T10 screws to 17.5 in-lb.
FN explicitly says do not use threadlocker. The manual describes the fastening system as self-locking and warns that threadlocker can make removal difficult or impossible without damaging components.
What the Checker Intentionally Leaves Open
The green RMR route is limited to the represented Trijicon RMR Type 2. It does not automatically extend to Holosun, Trijicon RCR/SRO, or other RMR-pattern optics because FN’s chart does not assign those models FN 502 hardware.
Shield RMS is not the same product name as RMSc or RMS2. The checker now maps the original RMS exactly and leaves the compact and second-generation models open. Likewise, “Docter Optic” is not a license to map every later Noblex/Docter-family sight, so that generic row remains documented in the table without turning unrelated models green.
