What we collect

Optics Intel is a static website. We don't require accounts, we don't run comment systems, and we don't collect personal information directly.

Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how people arrive, and which outbound retailer links are clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data (such as approximate location, device type, and pages visited) as described inHow Google uses information from sites that use its services. We use this data in aggregate only; we don't attempt to identify individual visitors. You can opt out with theGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Analytics does not load unless you select “Accept analytics” in our privacy choices notice. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be cleared with your site data.

Affiliate links and cookies

When you click an affiliate link on this site, the destination retailer (such as Amazon) may set cookies in your browser to attribute a purchase to us. Those cookies are governed by the retailer's own privacy policy, not ours. SeeAmazon's Privacy Notice for details.

Hosting logs

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and operations. We don't use these to identify visitors.

Correction reports

The structured optic-route correction form can collect the exact route, a controlled issue category and severity, your private description, an optional manufacturer link, and—only with your explicit permission—an email address for follow-up. Reports are stored in a private review queue. Reporter prose, contact details, and source URLs are not sent to route analytics or included in aggregate demand reports.
