FN’s product page broadly describes the slide as compatible with optics sharing the DeltaPoint Pro or Shield RMS footprints. The table above is narrower on purpose: it is the model-specific hardware chart owners actually need at the workbench.
The Installation Rules That Matter
FN specifies 8–10 in-lb for the optic screws. It says blue Loctite 242 or 243, or Vibra-Tite VC-3, is optional—not mandatory—and warns that threadlocker can make later removal difficult.
More importantly, FN says to use only the correct FN-supplied screws, not the screws packed with the optic. FN also requires the screw to protrude no more than 0.100 inch (2.5 mm) below the optic’s mating surface before installation. Those are manufacturer instructions, not generic mounting tips.
Why FastFire Is a Different Route
Burris FastFire 2, 3, and 4 use FN adapter 506 and screw set 504. The adapter is part of the documented path. A Docter-pattern label by itself does not establish that an unlisted Docter-family optic uses the same hardware.
