Maven RS1 (original) 2.5-15x44
Who tested: Rokslide field eval (2024-07) — read the original write-up, which is the source of record. Who structured it: Optics Intel. We extract outcomes and cite; the testing labor is theirs.
Sample size: 1 (single serial number, three drop evals) — evidence about this unit, not a verdict on every unit shipped.
Stage-by-stage record
| Tracking / RTZ | Fail | adjustment within 2%, but repeatedly needed 0.5–0.75 MOA re-zero |
|---|---|---|
| 18″ drops | Fail | first 18″ left drop shifted it off the dot |
| 36″ (single) | Fail | predictable directional shifts with each drop side |
| 3×36″ | Fail | consistently needed 0.5–0.75 MOA re-zero after each drop eval |
| Long-term | Not tested | — |
Mount setup
Rings/mount: runs 2–3 in the control scope's rings to rule out the mount. Ring torque: 20 in-lb. No torque caveat flagged in the source.
Notes
Original MOA RS1 — distinct from the passing RS1.2. An RS1.2 control ran three clean drop evals in the same thread (separate scope, separate row).
What this eval didn't test
