Holosun’s current EPS Carry page identifies the direct-mount interface as K and includes an RMSc-to-K adapter. Holosun’s official store has also listed Hellcat among compatible subcompacts.

C&H’s purpose-specific SAHC-EPS plate names Springfield Hellcat Pro and Holosun EPS Carry exactly. It currently lists M4 x 9.5 mm plate hardware.

An OpticsPlanet expert answer also says the Hellcat Pro requires an RMSc-to-K adapter and points to the C&H plate. That corroborates the geometry, but its 2022 packaging comments do not replace Holosun’s current box contents or C&H’s current hardware listing.

A verified Hellcat Pro Comp owner reports that EPS Carry worked well. The same account reviewed the C&H Hellcat plate on the same date and said it made the Pro Comp installation easy. It is reasonable to infer that the two reviews describe one plated setup, but the reviews never explicitly identify the full optic-plate-screw stack. They therefore corroborate the route; they do not establish a screw spec.

The same Q&A contains an ambiguous member-supplied screw answer. Optics Intel does not use that answer: crowd-sourced length shorthand cannot override the plate maker’s current hardware or Springfield’s measured protrusion rule.

Why the Included Plate Does Not Set the Screw Answer

Holosun currently packages multiple screw families with EPS Carry. Those are inventory for multiple hosts, not one universal Hellcat Pro prescription. Adding a plate changes the clamped thickness; optic-only hardware and plate-stack hardware are not interchangeable.

Springfield’s manual avoids a misleading universal length and instead sets a maximum: a screw may protrude no more than 0.095 inch / 2.4 mm below the optic. The assembled stack must also clamp before either screw bottoms out.

Installation Boundary

  1. Unload and clear the pistol; remove the slide and OSP cover per the Hellcat manual.
  2. Confirm the slide is the unmodified Springfield Micro host.
  3. Confirm the adapter maker names Hellcat Pro and EPS Carry.
  4. Use the hardware supplied or specified for that exact plate revision.
  5. Dry-fit and confirm plate and optic are flat, with no rocking.
  6. Confirm M4-0.7 thread and the 2.4 mm protrusion limit.
  7. Apply torque and retention instructions from the current makers.
  8. Verify normal function, zero, witness-mark, and recheck after live fire.

Height and Co-Witness

An adapter necessarily adds material between the slide and optic. That can reduce how much of the factory U-Dot sights remains visible through the window. Holosun’s compatibility and C&H’s plate listing prove the mounting path; neither proves a particular co-witness percentage on every plate revision.

If lowest possible deck height is the priority, an exact direct RMSc optic such as the ROMEO-X Enclosed Compact gives a cleaner documented route. If a sealed Holosun and its reticle system are the priority, the added plate is the known tradeoff.

EPS Carry Versus Full-Size EPS

Both use K geometry, and the cited C&H plate lists both. Fit is only one decision: full-size EPS is wider, which affects slide overhang, holster clearance, and concealment. EPS Carry is the platform-proportioned choice; Optics Intel does not convert plate compatibility into a blanket “best” rating for the larger optic.
